Stretching: Good or Bad?
“Stretching” means a lot of different things to a lot of people. The problem with stretching is that many people use stretching and only stretching to deal with muscles that are knotted, stiff, or in pain after a workout. The cause of that pain was muscle imbalance—muscles that have been working at different rates during the workout.
The solution for that problem isn’t stretching. The solution is to correct those muscle imbalances: when you correct them, the pain (and therefore the need to stretch) will be eliminated.
