HR+ and Garmin

When Garmin first started out promoting heart rate monitors they implemented their own protocol called Ant+.  Since then the industry has standardized on the BLE protocol for heart rate monitor connection.  Unfortunately only some of the newer Garmin models support BLE so you will need to check with Garmin on the compatibility of your particular model.
